Frolic Haul

In an extremely prescient move given the TTC Strike, Michelle rented a car to head over to the Knitter's Frolic. It was much larger than I expected and I definitely suffered from some sensory overload.
I fell in love with the XO Sock kit, but I still need to acquire 2.5 mm dpns. There are a couple of sweaters I have been wanting to knit for a while and I managed to pick up some yarn for them.

I got a great price on the Ecological Wool from a stand that had skeins of the most amazing colours...Of course, I bought beige yarn.

But the deal of the day was on this rayon slub. I am hoping to use it for the Hourglass Sweater from Last Minute Kintted Gifts.

Frolic, indeed.

Phlox Envy

At least twice a day I walk by our neighbours' gorgeous phlox.

We, on the other hand, have this in our front yard. Hopefully next year we will get a chance to tackle the front yard next year.

Family Portrait

Taken around Easter.

Ty looks so serious, but he loves having his picture taken.

Better late than never

At long last I have started a blog. I anticipate that it will be a mishmash of things moving forward. Often on the subway or walking down the street, I will have an if-I-had-a-blog moment, but right now the stare of the blank Post box is draining me of all ideas. Hopefully I have better luck next time.
